About Us
We are a self funded ministry dedicated to spreading the truth of God’s Word. We believe and teach the same things that were taught by Jesus, as well as what Paul and the Apostles taught to the early Church. We wholly believe in the Bible as our only source of doctrine and recognize that all scripture is totally inspired by God and so fully trustworthy, including the acknowledgement that there was a literal six day creation plus one extra day for rest and Holy use giving us the seven day week we have today. We have also discovered that once you know the keys to unlock the prophecies of the Bible, they actually can be understood and without private interpretation. Jesus said blessed is he that reads and understands them. (Revelation 1:1-3)
The Bible informs us in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 “the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” We are also warned that God’s people will perish for a lack of knowledge because they would reject knowledge and Jesus himself warns us again and again not to be deceived and that if it were possible even the elect will be deceived. Revelation says that in the end, the world will be deceived by the miracles that the enemy gives power to the beast to do. We therefore realise that one should never underestimate the deceptions of Satan and know that he always attacks truth and especially what affects our salvation. When God brought His chosen people out of the land of Egypt, He performed many miracles like turning Aaron’s rod into a serpent, changing rivers to blood and bringing up frogs to cover the land. The pharaoh’s magicians through the power of Satan were also able to perform all these same miracles. (Exodus 7:10-11; 7:20-22; 8:6-7). We therefore recognise that the enemy can also perform counterfeit miracles such as Speaking In Tongues and so we know we need to check and recheck everything thoroughly against the Word of God and that what the majority believe today is not always Biblically correct.
Today there are a substantial number of Christians who are unaware that some of the beliefs in Christian Churches have originated from manmade traditions and paganism. The current day of worship is a good example of this as it originated from sun worship which is why we have the pagan name SUN-day. It was not changed in honour of the resurrection as some claim and history confirms that all Christians worshipped on Saturday until at least 120 AD, when persecution for Judaism caused some to change days in fear of their lives. Millions also died through the dark ages for refusing to worship on Sunday that was made law in the fourth century and is why all except around five hundred denominations now worship on Sunday. These are facts unbeknown to most Christians today.
We also trust the example of Jesus and Paul who always kept the Sabbath. Paul was a Pharisee and hence a Jew and followed the Jewish ways to the strictest letter. Acts 26:4-5 “The Jews all know the way I have lived ever since I was a child, from the beginning of my life in my own country, and also in Jerusalem. They have known me for a long time and can testify, if they are willing, that according to the strictest sect of our religion, I lived as a Pharisee.” Notice in the following verse that this is a Jewish synagogue and that Jews have all through history, without change, worshipped on Saturday as they still do today. Acts 17:2 “…they came to Thessalonica, where there was a Jewish synagogue. As his CUSTOM was, Paul went into the synagogue, and on three Sabbath days he reasoned with them from the Scriptures.” Since it was the custom of Jesus, (Luke 4:16) Paul and the early Church, and Jesus assured us not one stroke of the law is going to pass, then we also follow their example and enjoy the promised blessings of God’s Holy Sabbath day. Most of the misunderstanding in this area comes from confusion between the Mosaic Law (ended) and the Ten Commandment law.
We believe that there is only one way to establish truth, and it is not by taking for granted what we tell you or what your most trusted friend tells you or even what your Pastor teaches. God’s children need to be like the Berean Christians who “received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true” Acts 17:11. This is the only way to get back to the Biblically based belief system of the early Church and put aside the traditions that have become accepted doctrines over the centuries, and obscured the original teachings and examples of Jesus and the Apostles.
Our certainty is that we have been saved through Grace, by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and that He has saved us from the penalty that our sins deserved. We recognize that because He has saved us from the consequences of the law, it does not mean that we no longer have to obey God’s law of love, but to the contrary it amplifies our desire to follow God’s Commandments to the best of our ability, because we know what an enormous price Christ paid on our behalf.
We conscientiously follow the teachings of Jesus who demonstrated that not every Christian that called Jesus Lord would make it into the kingdom. Jesus spoke of those who said, “Lord, Lord,” but did not do the will of the Father. Then He described many who would seek entrance into the kingdom claiming to be workers of miracles in the name of Jesus Christ. But He would have to sorrowfully say “…I never knew you: depart from me, you who practice lawlessness!” Matthew 7:23. This demonstrates that God’s grace does not cover deliberate disobedience, because this means that there is no genuine repentance of our sinful act because had there been, we would not have kept on doing it.
By God’s Grace and faith in Jesus our fleshly failures are forgiven through genuine repentance but what about deliberate wilful sin? Hebrews 10:26-29 “For if we sin WILFULLY after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth NO MORE sacrifice for sins … He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose you, shall he be thought worthy, who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has done despite unto the Spirit of GRACE?”
We also believe in teaching Ten Bible Commandments as Jesus informed us that He did not come to destroy the law and that we are not only to obey it but to TEACH it also. In Matthew Chapter 5 Jesus assures us that not even a stroke of the pen would pass from the law, let alone an entire Commandment. Matthew 5:17-19 “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” We find in the remainder of Chapter 5 that Jesus not only did not come to destroy the law but instead fulfils prophecy by magnifying the law as it was prophesied that He would in Isaiah 42:21, “The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will MAGNIFY the law, and make it honourable.”
When you truly know and love Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, it is a natural progression to seek to follow and obey Him, as love and obedience are inseparable in the true Christian’s life. The beloved John summed it up in these words, 1 John 5:3 “For this is the love of God, that we keep his Commandments: and his Commandments are not grievous.” Jesus expressed it plainly and simply using these words found in John 14:15 which He quotes from the Second Commandment, “If you love me, keep my Commandments.” And finally, there can be no misunderstanding the meaning and blessing of these words. Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are they that do his Commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.”
It was never God’s intention for His Church to be divided into multiple denominations and sadly, we have found through experience that many choose to judge what they read based on one’s denomination. We also discovered that the more truth a Church has, the more lies the enemy has coming against it to keep people from finding truth. See who is the remnant Church for more information. After our first few thousand hours of study, it rapidly became more and more apparent that what is truth is not always popular and what is popular is not always truth. Mark Twain once said, “A lie can travel halfway around the world, while truth puts on its shoes.”
Since having a denominational name gives Satan something to attack and many Christians have the tendency to judge truth by denomination rather than the Word of God, we have chosen not to reveal denomination. This decision was made with much prayer and ultimately so this ministry could be more effective in spreading truth to the world. The following scriptures inform us of what truth is and how it should be established and it is not by one’s denomination. John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way and the TRUTH…” John 17:17 “Sanctify them through your Truth: your WORD is TRUTH.” 1 Thessalonians 2:13 “…when you received the Word of God which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in TRUTH, the Word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.”
Note from the Webmaster
My family on its journey to try and find Biblical truth came across one of Steve Wohlberg's TV prophecy seminars. We were so impressed with his material that we have decided to promote his books and other material at no gain to ourselves, other than knowing that others can make the same amazing discoveries of truth that we have from his books and videos. If you have enjoyed reading his material on Wicca presented here, then you will find his book called “Hour of the Witch” an absolute must have. Discover the truth about the dark side of Wicca by reading Steve Wohlberg’s eye-opening book, Hour of the Witch. You won’t be able to put it down!” It is available on book and video from www.whitehorsemedia.com.
Steve Wohlberg is also an expert on end time prophecy and has an excellent book called “End Time Delusions”. Steve's most comprehensive book on Bible prophecy separates facts from speculative fiction and reveals what the Bible really teaches about Earth's last days. Topics include: The Rapture, 7-year Tribulation theory, Antichrist, Israel, Babylon, God's temple, Armageddon, Protestant Reformation, Preterism, Historicism, Futurism, Islam in prophecy and more. I am sure you will find this to be one of the most enlightening books you will ever read on Bible prophecy. This book is also an absolute must have.
Reader Reviews:
Harry Potter, Wicca and the Bible, April 17, 2005
Reviewer: V. Mulder “Stephen D. Mulder” (Templeton, California)
This is a TERRIFIC book. Steve Wohlberg has taken great pains to carefully document Harry Potter's relationship with modern witchcraft and Wicca. He then contrasts the difference between Wiccan and Biblical teaching. He draws from many sources, avoiding injecting his own opinion into the controversy until a fair analysis of both sides has been made.
This is the kind of book EVERY parent should read, because it gives a perspective that is balanced, and fair. It gives the reader a chance to consider Harry Potter, Wicca, and the Bible from a point of view that may not be popular--it may not be what you're reading in the media, but reminds us that the Bible condemns witchcraft in ALL forms. Wohlberg moves on to show that the Bible's teaching--even its strongest warnings are for our protection and welfare. One powerful chapter that should not be missed is, "The Spell: It Is Only Fiction!" Wohlberg's critics will always jump at this claim. But the fact is, "Fiction is a powerful communicator of ideas that influence thought and behavior." Fiction is a tool to teach, much like a Biblical parable can convey a powerful message. As Wohlberg states in his close of that chapter, "Albus Dumbledore says, 'Truth is generally preferable to lies.' This isn't right. Truth is always preferable to lies." Why is this important? Because as Wohlberg points out, the Bible warns us about a powerful fallen angel who opposed God by mixing truth with error to mask his deceptions. Wohlberg effectively contrasts two opposing philosophies. One popular with the world and lauded in the media, the other built on Biblical teaching. This is much more useful to me than those who are shouting that Harry Potter has nothing to do with real witchcraft, or worse, that real witchcraft doesn't exist. Buy this book! It pays to have new perspective.
Pottermania, Wicca, & the Embracing Love of God, April 18, 2005
Reviewer: Pam Bolton (Oregon)
Hour of the Witch is an exceptionally well-written, well-organized book. The author’s premise, that the Harry Potter books can and do impact the very thoughts and lives of individuals, is meticulously researched and documented. While the book is understandably from a Christian point of view, Steve Wohlberg maintains an open heart and concern for those with opposing viewpoints, and offers words of hope and encouragement to all. There is no “witch-bashing” or maniacal, frenzied fire-and-brimstone diatribes. On the contrary, Hour of the Witch brings careful and considerate Christian views to the subject of Wicca and it’s relationship - overt (easily seen) and occult (hidden) - to the exponentially growing fascination with the Harry Potter phenomena. But the love and Word of God is first and foremost declared in this book. As a former witch, I highly recommend Hour of the Witch - to parents, to teachers, and even to practitioners of the Craft.
Hour of the Witch! By Steve Wohlberg April 19, 2005
Reviewer: Mike R. (Sacramento, CA).
“Hour of the Witch” is an excellent book!
First of all, the book is engaging. I couldn’t put it down. It is very well researched, documented and written. Steve Wohlberg does a great job of explaining in very simple terms what Wicca is and demonstrates that much of its belief system / life style is indeed reflected in the “Harry Potter” series.
Unlike other works on this topic, “Hour of the Witch” does an outstanding job of addressing Wiccan beliefs and the Harry Potter debate in a respectful way so as to avoid the negatively charged emotions often associated with these controversial subjects. The Author understands that those who practice Wicca (far from being evil monsters) are most often very pleasant, sincere individuals who are honestly attempting to tap into supernatural powers to do good - just like “Harry Potter” does in the stories. And who wouldn’t like to do that? Herein lies the allure of “Harry Potter”.
Many see no harm in “Harry Potter,” while others misunderstand and condemn Wiccans based on pre-conceived ideas. This book will help tremendously in opening minds and hearts on either side of this controversy.
While the warnings in this book against Witchcraft (which are all Biblically based) are straightforward and non-apologetic, the author does not attempt to condemn those who practice Wicca. Instead, he masterfully explains Wiccan beliefs and practices in simple terms, shares the truths of the Bible, and then compares and contrasts the two belief systems, illuminating the dangers that the Bible foretells can come upon those who open “alternative” spiritual gateways. The book is filled with excellent insights and should go a long way in helping readers on both sides of the debate. Whether you like or dislike “Harry”, or if you are a practicing Wiccan, “Hour of the Witch” is a must-read for all.

I found “Hour of the Witch” to be a refreshingly sane look at Wicca and some of the cultural pressures which help it to flourish here in America. It is a balanced look at the topic from a Christian perspective, and I for one, appreciate the lack of shrill sensationalism that generally accompanies a book on the subject from a Christian author.

Is Witchcraft the Way?

If you are a Witch, Wiccan or Pagan, we invite you to read this tract which has been adapted from the book “Hour of the Witch” by Steve Wohlberg
In our fast-paced, crazy world, we need to contemplate the whisper of the wind, the stillness of forests, the song of birds, the peace of moonlight, the dance of spring. One rapidly growing movement highlighting appreciation for nature with its seasons and cycles is called “Wicca,” a spiritual path that uses Witchcraft. Many young people are now exploring Wicca because organized religions often leave their souls unsatisfied. Others get “turned off” by so-called “Christians” who make Christianity nauseating.
Wicca is a nature-based religion offering its followers a connection with “Mother Earth,” which they often call “the Goddess.” It claims that by “tapping” into Earth’s energies and “nature spirits” people can cast wholesome “spells,” perform “white magic,” and improve their lives. Obviously, we all need improvement, but is connecting with nature spirits the right way to do it?
Pam Bolton (Oregon) was a practicing witch for many years. Her heart had longed to belong to a spiritual group, and she liked the idea of experiencing magickal power. Witchcraft seemed perfect—designed just for her. Pam had the books, athame, cauldron, candles, altar, jewellery, and runes: everything she needed. Yet as time went on, what had promised fulfilment turned frightening. Unexpectedly, dark troubles entered her soul. According to Wiccan teaching, “Satan” and “demons” don’t exist. So what were those voices inside her head? Negative energies?
Her own thoughts?
Pam was clueless. “Protective” spells didn’t help either. Eventually, this quiet and devoted young lady entered a nightmare filled with hostile spirits trying to destroy her.
Pam later met a Christian man who was different. He wasn’t a witch-basher, yet he showed her what the Bible plainly says about evil. “Satan is real,” Pam was kindly informed, not just a figment of “Christian imagination.” She was also told that what she thought were friendly forces of Earth, Water, Air, and Fire, where really sneaky and malicious “spirits of devils” (Revelation 16:14) in disguise. This was not what she wanted to hear. But the seed was planted—and it wouldn’t go away. As time went on, Pam read for herself what the Bible teaches about God, creation, the entrance of evil, tricky fallen angels, and being “saved” from sin and death through personal faith in Jesus Christ.
As Pam’s internal conflicts deepened, in desperation, she began praying to Jesus asking Him to rescue her from dangerous supernatural forces. After many struggles, something miraculous happened inside her heart—she found peace! What Pam had sought in Witchcraft, she found in One who said, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (John 8:12).
If you are searching for deeper insights about the Creator of life, consider what the Bible teaches about God, sin, and salvation. Instead of promoting evolutionary theory, this ancient Book contends: “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). Dancing from the Creator’s hand, our entire universe—from distant stars to complex living cells—sprang into existence. Everything was beautiful. The crowning act of this cosmic burst came when the Supreme Intelligence created two perfect human beings named Adam and Eve “in the image of God” (Genesis 1:27). Adam and Eve were given freedom to eat from every tree inside an exotic Garden called Eden (see Genesis 2:8). Yet in His infinite wisdom, Earth’s Maker created one tree—“the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”—which He commanded Adam and Eve to avoid as a test of their love for Him. Earnestly, He warned that if they tasted its forbidden flavours, they would “surely die” (Genesis 2:17).
In the branches of this forbidden tree an invisible entity named “Satan” (a malevolent fallen angel) spoke soothingly to Eve through a serpent (see Genesis 3:1-4). Mocking God’s Word and replacing truth with lies, this subtle spirit promised Eve enlightenment and godhood. “You will be like god” (Genesis 3:5), the deceiver whispered. Foolishly, Eve took the bait. That very act of trying to become a little god is what the Bible calls “sin” (see Romans 5:12); and it plunged Adam, Eve, and their descendants—including you and me—into an ongoing battle between the forces of light and those of darkness. The enemy has not changed and is doing the same thing today with the Bible Ten Commandments.
In mercy and love, the Infinite Creator responded unselfishly by sending His Eternal Son, Jesus Christ, to be incarnated as a God-Man and to live among us nearly two thousand years ago (see Micah 5:2). He saw humanity’s loneliness, pain, and confusion, and in fulfilment of mysterious biblical prophecies, this God-Man suffered the horror of sin’s death penalty when He died on a splintery cross outside Jerusalem. “Christ died for our sins…He was buried, and He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3, 4). After dying, He rose to life.
In contrast to the delusive muttering of nature spirits (who are really fallen angels in disguise), the Resurrected God-Man extends His personal invitation to each of us: “Come to Me, all you who labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). While some Christians may fear you, or not understand you, Jesus Christ knows you fully. He loves you just as you are, and offers you forgiveness no matter what you’ve done. He gave peace to Pam. He wants to give you peace too, but He waits for your permission.
We invite you to thoughtfully consider the Son of the living God. The Bible says that He loves you with an eternal love, died for your sins, and opened the door to peace forever with Him. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
If you are a Witch, Wiccan, or Pagan, and would like to learn more about your Creator and His Son, we recommend www.exwitch.org and Steve Wohlberg’s insightful book, Hour of the Witch.
If you come to believe in Him, you can tell Him in a prayer anytime, anywhere. If you do, please tell us and we will send you free information about your new life as a believer in Christ.
